OIL VAT for the people? Where does our economy leads us?

It was in the news yesterday that 500 million pesos which was collected from the oil vat will be given to the poor families in the Philippines.  That is why until now, prices of diesel and gasoline still continue to increase.  The government says that these taxes are from the wealthy families with vehicles.  But what about us ordinary citizens who only earn a little.  We are paying for vat and taxes that only those who just cling to the government for food and shelter are the beneficiaries without having the guts to look for work.  Ordinary working citizens are being slashed of their salaries just to feed those incompetent leeches in the society.  Imagine an increase in transportation fare of one peso for the minimum fare and an additional fee for every succeeding kilometers.  It’s ok to pay taxes as long as the collections are not being corrupted by those in power.  If this will continue, more Filipino people will migrate and look for other opportunities outside the Philippines.
